The full rules for our Hunter Valley escape giveaway. Please read before entering.

The promotion

This promotion is run by Leaves & Fishes ("the Promoter") in partnership with Balloon Aloft and EXP and Wine House Hunter Valley. It is a game of chance. No purchase is necessary to enter or to win.

Who can enter

  • Entrants must be Australian residents aged 18 years or over.

  • Employees (and their immediate families) of Leaves & Fishes, Balloon Aloft and EXP are not eligible to enter.

Entry period

Entries open 9:00am 11th October 2026 AEDT, and close 11:59pm 17th October AEDT. Winner will be announced on the 18th of October, 2026

Entries received outside this window will not be counted.

How to enter

To enter via Instagram, during the entry period entrants must, on the official giveaway post at [@leavesandfishes]:

  • Follow @leavesandfishes, @balloonaloft and @exprestaurant @winehousehuntervalley @thetroveleavesandfishes

  • Like the giveaway post

  • Tag one friend in the comments (up to 3 separate comments/entries per person)

The prize

One winner will receive:

  • Two (2) nights' accommodation at Leaves & Fishes, valid Monday and Tuesday nights only, subject to availability

  • A hot air balloon flight for two (2) people with Balloon Aloft, provided as a gift voucher valid for 36 months

  • Dinner for two (2) people at EXP Restaurant, provided as a gift voucher valid for 12 months

  • Wine House Hunter Valley tasting experience and 6 pack of Silkman wines

  • A private shopping experience and $350 gift voucher for The Trove at Leaves and Fishes.

Total prize value: $2500 AUD. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash, and cannot be exchanged for any other item.

Booking & redemption

  • The accommodation component of the prize must be booked and redeemed within 12 months, subject to availability at Leaves & Fishes. Stays are valid Monday and Tuesday nights only; blackout dates may apply over [public holidays / peak season]. The $350 Trove voucher must be redeemed within 12 months.

  • The winner is responsible for their own travel to and from the Hunter Valley.

  • Balloon flight redemption: the winner will receive a Balloon Aloft gift voucher and can book their flight by following the Redeem link on the voucher, via the "Book Now" button on the Balloon Aloft website, or by contacting the Balloon Aloft Reservations Office directly.

  • Dinner redemption: the winner's dinner voucher is redeemable at EXP on Monday evenings only, subject to availability, and must be booked via exprestaurant.com.au. At least 2 weeks' notice is recommended to secure a booking. The voucher is valid for 12 months form the date of issue.

Balloon Aloft flight conditions

The hot air balloon component of the prize is provided as a Balloon Aloft gift voucher, subject to the following conditions:

The voucher is valid for 36 months from the date of issue and is not redeemable for cash.

  • Hot air ballooning is a weather-dependent activity. A flight may be cancelled due to unsuitable weather, or for any other reason the pilot deems necessary for passenger safety. If this happens, the winner's voucher remains valid and the flight can be rescheduled to another date within the voucher's validity period.

  • Ballooning may not be suitable for people with significant knee, hip or back problems, injuries, or mobility limitations that prevent standing for up to one hour or absorbing the impact of landing. It is not suitable for pregnant people. An accessible balloon basket with a door is available at the Hunter Valley location only — contact Balloon Aloft directly to discuss any accessibility needs before booking.

  • The voucher is issued in the winner's name. Only the winner, as the named voucher owner, may request a transfer of ownership, which must be made in writing at any point during the voucher's validity period.

Winner selection & notification

The winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries on [draw date]. The winner will be notified via Instagram direct message within 48 hours of the draw and announced publicly on the Leaves & Fishes Instagram account.

The winner must respond within 7 days of being notified to claim the prize. If unclaimed after this period, the prize may be redrawn.

General

  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.

  • By entering, entrants consent to their name and/or Instagram handle being published if they win.

  • The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found to be in breach of these terms.

  • The Promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
